follow the leader

reading all the staus messages of my friends, searching for the priceless quote to start my blog post, i came across one by gd singh. Apparently he got inspired by my blog, his status msg read "no quotes for bloggers today", so i would start this one with one of mine, "if it wasn´t for the weather, most of the people wouldnt have anything to talk about"
In germany, people talk a lot about the weather, one moment its bright and sunny, the next its dark and dreary. Right now its really hot here like 30C...wonder how folks back in india must be feeling(its 45 there i suppose)
ok.... so living in germany for two months now...will talk about the germans...
german people...or germs as i would like to call them (thnx sunni bhaiyya).... are really hardworking ... i mean they dont care about what you are doing and are really interested only in their lives...i was really dissapointed by the fact that people dont like to waste their time...back in india all we really used to do was while away our time.....
ah rules....germs really like to follow them..or atleast they wait for somebody to break them...just today i was waiting at this red light and there was no car in sight for like a kilometre or something...five or six people were also obediently waiting for the light to say go...i mean some people must have been standing there for a minute..then i thought what the heck and i crossed the damn light...the rest of the crowd as if suddenly invirogated...also followed...i mean its like follow the leader....if they see somebody doing it, they will also break the damn rule....
the trains here also follow the rules...you could actually print the schedule of the trains and without watching your watch you can actually tell the time because the trains are almost never late....
so this thing happened when we were going to berlin..(berlin was totally awesome)....we were travelling by regional trains and had a lot of connectiong ones to catch....one of our trains(to station ..dnt remember lets say ...B) actually got late by 20 min...and the next connecting train(from station B) was just 5 min after we had to get down at that station...so we thought shit we´ve missed the train...but no...they actually had the train waiting for us..they stopped it and it was still there..can you believe it??it was still there, waiting for us because almost all the people sitting in the train to B had to take the train.... thats when i actually fell in love with germany and their rules... and its really cool...

PS: ep update : zoose is a dude....roz gappe lagane aata hai

the second step

my second blog in a day....as avinash bharadwaj says .. "dude u r jobless" (will always start my blog by a quote from my enlightened friends)

So here in germany in duisburg(with paulomee,pauli,paul-e) ... its a sweet little town..its supposed to be the tenth largest city in germany ..but i think its just a town.... for starters its really green specially the university area...lot of bmw´s and mercs around (as you would in any german city i guess)....its so green that there is even grass growing on the roofs (lol)

the place is quiet, green and really good to look at...for one or two days..but then it gets onto you...hey nothing actually happens here...no carnivals,no parties...u gotta get outta here... so off we go to amsterdam and brussels...awesome two days and nights(didnt sleep)....
amsterdam was pleasently beautiful..u know everybody in amsterdam talks about the red light district but there is more to amsterdam than the rld... amsterdam just looks lovely in the morning...i mean at 4.30 in the morning..after that the tourists take over the small central part of amsterdam where actually everything is...(my professor, diapankur and a couple of guys tried to warn us....dude be careful in amsterdam..and we were..and no harm befell us..)...the canals, the old houses by he canal side,it was all so beautiful....
brussels is an underrated tourist destination...there practically is nothing to actually go and see... i mean their biggest attraction is the atomium which is too scientific for many people (its actually a iron crystal) .. bt when you roam around arbit like we did...going on without an aim or just following the map, you discover the city...we were going to the royal palace(i dunno if the king(or queen, not being sexist) even lives there) and we passed a building..it was so beautiful,we actually thought it was the royal palace...(it was some museum,i think the museum of arts)...
the royal palace was also quite good, but was kinda deserted... then we went to the square..i will tell you something about a typical european city..there is the old part of the town ...which is full of pubs, bars etc. usually near the river side...then there is the city square whr there are a couple of buildings which are good to look at and there is some cathedral ... but hey brussels was xcatly like that..but the square was so beautiful...it was awesome...and there was this jazz concert there with an amazing..i mean he was outstanding..violinist...i dnt like jazz..its too trumpety for me...but hey this sounded really really good...the jazz concert ended at 11.30 and then the arbit roaming began again...we had our bus at 5.00 in the morning..so we had 5 hours to kill....we then went to a statue of a pissing boy (manneken pis)......its actually..and i am not kidding..the symbol of the spirit of brussels....i dont know..do these people allow pissing on the strrets or what..
the rest of the night was nothing much to talk about..had a couple of police cars whizzing by(scaring the hell out of me and pauli.....it was 3 in the nite)...some drunken guys..pretty much the normal stuff :)
